Yesterday j drunk st.andrea pinot noir 2007 and J was very happy because this wine is very very good wine.

Not having a favourite myself I’m still sure St. Andrea won’t disappoint. Although Merengő 2006 is widely considered one of the best red wines ever made in Hungary and the Pinot Noirs are also cheered by many I find these wines a bit overrated (but Merengő very good). On the lower end, however, you’ll find very good reds (and whites) very fairly priced and if you’ll be visiting them next month you can already taste their Beaujolais Nouveau-styled Újbor, a rare well made young Hungarian wine. Their cuvées are often different every year but usually quite good and often called bikavér.
