Hungary’s industrial output is declining again, according to the latest official economic data. This factory was closed long before the credit crunch hit the country.
These robust machines which once lifted and moved heavy objects are still impressive, seen from 10 meters below.

These 2 images were shot for the VFXY weekly theme “reflection”. I missed the deadline though, but I like these images. Because they’re so Austrian to me. This building is part of the Gasometer cluster’s complementary block in Wien.
These are photos of the old thread factory in Budapest (Buda, actually) renovated few years ago then abandoned and today an office building. Their website also worth a look: http://www.dorottya.net/
These buildings are located near the new national theater and the events hall, an area undergoing demolition (of old residential and former industrial buildings such as these two) and the construction of eclectic/totally unremarkable new ones.
