A shocking memorial of Jews shot dead into the Danube river during the end of WW2. The shoes are now located at the Pest bank of the river overlooking the Buda Castle Dirtrict.

It bothers me that nowhere is the word “Jews” mentioned, just the vague term “the victims” of the Arrow cross… Why is this? Something wrong here.. in modern Hungary..
