Budapest and its inhabitants have been notorious about their inability of designing and building cool buildings. Corruption and maximization of the return on their investment have been driving to awful projects in the past 18 years or so. With very few exceptions, new buildings arr of poor quality and similar look without style. This building, located near the Gresham Palace (Four Seasons Hotel Budapest) is no exception. Its predecessor was not any better though, but this fact does not justify the existence of this featureless building. I’m a fan of constructivism and this photo might even look cool, but you should see it - it’s not.

It seems for commercial building (hotel, office) International style is preferred choice by their owner. Since form follow function will generate more profit for its efficiency spaces and time of construction. Anyway I wish I could see the whole building. I like your choice with black and white. Anyway, thanks for commenting in my blog.
