I always complain about Budapest’s missed opportunities and one of them is definitely exploring better its historical spas. This recently refurbished spa is located in one of the largest and most amazing parks of the city (not that that there are too many of them… - yep, another complaint, in case you would be counting).
This photo, as well as most photos, looks much better in b&w but I decided publish it in color because of the nice flowers. Click the post title to see more images of the building. I think they worth it.
And a side-entrance out of use:

You’re right. Budapest has such an amazing and rich history, but haven’t quite capitalised on that with tourists. When my wife and I were there in 2003, we managed to get around most of the key sights, but that was more down to my interest in history and pre-planning. It would have been useful to have a more structured guide to help us, as you see in Prague or Nurnberg.
That said, Budapest is definitely one of my most favourite cities in the world and I can’t wait to get back!
